A modern cross-platform room reservation app built with Flutter, designed to simplify booking hotels, guest houses, and pensions—especially for travelers in Ethiopia. The Problem
Travelers in Ethiopia—especially budget travelers—often struggle to find safe and affordable accommodations because most digital booking platforms focus mainly on high-end hotels. At the same time, a large number of small guesthouses and budget service providers remain offline and lack the digital tools needed to list their rooms or manage bookings. This creates a major gap where travelers cannot easily discover affordable lodging, while small hospitality providers remain invisible in the digital marketplace.
The Problem

I developed Maderia, a cross-platform application built with Flutter, designed to help travelers discover and book affordable accommodations across Ethiopia. The platform aggregates small guesthouses and service providers into a single digital marketplace where users can browse verified listings, view room details, and easily find budget-friendly places to stay. The system focuses on improving accessibility, increasing the visibility of small hospitality businesses, and providing a simple digital booking experience tailored to local travel needs.
